Administrative and Communications Specialist

Carolina Gomez is the Administrative and Communications Specialist at HEAL Trafficking, with over eight years of experience in the non-profit sector. She brings expertise in branding, digital marketing, photography, and graphic design, specializing in virtual fundraising and digital presence enhancement. Previously, she was the Operations Manager at the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project in Seattle, providing administrative support to a team of attorneys and legal advocates across four Washington offices. Her legal advocacy includes representing survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking in immigration proceedings, reflecting her commitment to social justice and women’s rights. Carolina has also led community outreach initiatives for refugee and asylee communities, as well as detained immigrants. She holds a Master’s Degree in Latin American Studies (specializing in human rights and anthropology) and Bachelor’s Degrees in Signed Language Interpreting and Portuguese, all from the University of New Mexico.
